Been a long time since I have updated this blog. I have decided to start blogging about several of my new indoor gardening projects. Below is the test bed for my micro greens grown on organic soil made from my worm composter. My overall project goal is to create a self sustaining system to create a comstant supplynof fresh organic produce

Microgreens are only truly "self sustaining" if you are producing your own seeds as well as using organic growing media and nutrients. As you will find out, you consume a large amount of seeds to produce microgreens. The production of the seeds would require a considerable area of field production.
I would agree. So far I have seeded about 1/4 of each tray of greens to collect more seeds. You may use alot of seeds but each lettuce plant put to seed produces an amazing amout of seeds. The nutrients for these trays is 100% from my worm composter. The root stock that is left over is then composted for my outdoor garden in the spring
